Community Access & Participation · Coffs Harbour

More of your week, out in the world. With a support worker who stays.

Community access is about getting out and staying connected. A morning at the beach, a coffee with a friend, an appointment kept, a class you have been meaning to try. We match you with a support worker who knows you and sticks around, so the week gets easier and the same face keeps turning up.

What it is

NDIS support to take part in life outside the home

Community access, sometimes called social and community participation, is NDIS-funded one-to-one support to do the things you want to do away from home. A support worker comes with you and helps as much or as little as you need.

That might be getting to appointments, doing the shops, joining a social group, keeping up a hobby, or getting to work or study. The idea is simple. More of your week spent doing what matters to you, with someone steady beside you.

What it can look like

Real support, built around your week

Beach and coastal outings

A walk at Emerald Beach, a swim, a quiet morning by the water. Coffs Harbour is on the doorstep, and getting to it should feel easy.

Shops and appointments

Groceries, the pharmacy, the GP, the bank. The everyday errands that are simpler with someone alongside you.

Social groups and connection

Getting to a group, catching up with friends, being part of what is happening locally. Less time on your own when you would rather not be.

Hobbies and interests

The class, the club, the thing you keep meaning to get back to. Support to pick it up and keep it going.

Building skills and confidence

Catching the bus, ordering at the counter, managing a routine. Small steps practised often, at your pace.

Getting to work or study

A steady hand with the trip in, the paperwork, and settling into somewhere new, so work or study feels within reach.

The difference

The same worker, week after week

When the same worker turns up each week, plans get easier to make and trust builds on its own. That steadiness is the point of good community access.

It is hard to get when the worker changes every few weeks and you start again each time. So we are built around staff who stay. Low turnover is the whole idea, which means the person who took you to the beach last month is the same person this month. They learn your routine, your preferences, and the things that make a day go well.

That is the same reason our Supported Independent Living holds together, and it carries straight into community access. We stay. That is the whole idea.
