The Emerald Beach home sits on about 3,000 square metres, tree-lined and quiet, a short walk from the sand. There is a wide verandah to sit on in the morning and a garden with space to move, potter, or just be outside without an audience.
Inside, it is set up as a share home, not a ward. Meals happen in a real kitchen, and the day is built around the people who live here rather than the other way around.
What matters most is steadiness. The routine holds on its own, the support is there when it is needed, and care is not a promise but a fact you can see for yourself.
Emerald Beach, in Coffs Harbour
Emerald Beach is a small coastal community about 20 kilometres north of Coffs Harbour, between Moonee Beach and Sapphire Beach, with Woolgoolga just up the road. It is quiet without being cut off.
The beach and the headland walks are close. Coffs Harbour keeps the shops, the hospital, allied health and public transport within easy reach, so appointments and day programs stay simple. For someone who does better away from noise and crowds, the pace here does a lot of the work.
We live and work on the lands of the Gumbaynggirr people, and we acknowledge them as the traditional custodians of this Country.
